trauma-informed. real results.

working with lis is…

MINDFUL

trauma-informed isn’t a buzzword here; it’s a way of paying attention. we work with the body’s signals, not against them—tending to the nervous system, recognizing protective patterns, and choosing safety as the foundation for growth.

COLLABORATIVE

This work isn’t top-down—it’s relational. You bring your lived experience; I bring the tools to help you meet it with voice. Curiosity keeps us in dialogue, co-creating a process that’s alive, responsive, and genuinely fun.

INCLUSIVE

to me, inclusion means awareness in action. we name the power dynamics that shape our voices—systemic, cultural, interpersonal—and we adapt with flexibility and care so your voice has room to unfold on its own terms.

EMPOWERING

your voice belongs to you. i’m not here to fix or mold it—i’m here to help you uncover what’s already there. we strengthen what’s working, stretch what’s ready, and honor the story your voice carries.

Linklater Voice (MFA Training)

The Linklater Voice Work method, developed by Kristin Linklater, focuses on freeing the natural voice by addressing and releasing physical tensions that inhibit vocal expression.

The technique involves practical exercises designed to enhance physical awareness, release breathing musculature, and develop vocal resonance and articulation, aiming to strengthen the voice/body/mind connection through imaginative and organic practices.

Linklater Voice Work also emphasizes the psychological and emotional aspects of vocal expression. This holistic approach addresses not just the mechanics of vocal production, but also helps individuals connect more deeply with their own voices to communicate authentically and confidently.

Linklater's work gained international recognition, training well-known actors like Sir Patrick Stewart and Sigourney Weaver. Highly respected in actor training programs worldwide, this method benefits anyone looking to improve their vocal quality and emotional expression.

Iyengar Yoga (200RYT®)

B.K.S. lyengar, often called the "father of modern yoga," developed lyengar Yoga, a method renowned for its emphasis on precise alignment and the use of props like blocks, straps, and bolsters to make poses accessible to practitioners of all levels. This approach allows for greater stability in poses, enhancing both physical strength and flexibility while reducing the risk of injury.

lyengar's techniques also focus on prolonged holding of poses, which builds endurance and mental clarity. His methods gained international recognition after famous violinist Yehudi Menuhin credited lyengar with significantly improving his performance through yoga.

The principles of lyengar Yoga continue to influence modern yoga practices worldwide, ensuring that practitioners benefit from its structured and supportive approach to achieving physical and mental well-being.
